- - - - Page Text - - -> Ho Young Ahn, ICASFellow, President of University of North Korean Studies, was appointed Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Korea to the United States of America by Madame President Park Geun-hye in May 2013.
He presented his credentials to President Barack Obama on July 18, 2013.
Most recently, Ho Young served as First Vice Minister of Foreign Affairs and Trade from February 2012 to May 2013. Prior to this, he served as Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Korea to the Kingdom of Belgium and to the Korean Mission to the European Union.
From 2008 to 2011, Ho Young was the Deputy Minister for Trade at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, during which time he served as President Lee Myung-bak�s sherpa to the G-20 and G8 outreach meetings.
