Hon. Ogor began his education at RCM Primary School, Ozoro and Notre Dame College, Ozoro where he obatined his West African Senior Crtificate (WASC). He had a brief stint at the Central Bank of Nigeria, Lagos in 1980 before travelling abroad to study at Emile Wolf College of Accountancy, London where he obtained the AIB qualification between 1981-1983 and the Chartered Institute of Administration where he obtained the ACIA professional qualification.
